1) To treat a sore throat gargle with salt water or drink licorice tea. Also, try ginger tea with lemon and honey (pour boiling water over a few ginger and lemon pieces-then add honey).
2) To reduce phlegm, mix turmeric with boiling hot water, add honey and drink.
3) Get enough sleep and stay hydrated. We like chicken and beef bone soups and coconut water.
4) Take vitamin D and vitamin C supplements. Vitamin D rich foods include beef liver and fish while kiwi and grapefruit have high levels of vitamin C.
